Syrah prefers sandy soils and the vineyards of Piano Spineto, the plateau located in the highest part of the company, are the ideal habitat for this great vine. The image of the Moor on the label is taken from a sculpture by the great ceramist of Caltagirone, Giacomo Alessi.

Tasting notes: intense ruby red in color, striking on the nose with strong spicy notes, typical of Syrah grapes, in particular black pepper and cinnamon; on the palate, it offers fresh and crunchy fruit, such as blackberry, blueberry but also blackcurrant and cassis, the latter being typical notes of the finest Nero d'Avola. Great structure and extraordinary elegance with a dense and silky tannic texture. A wine that can be appreciated immediately but can also evolve in the bottle for several years.

Pairings: a wine that lends itself well to various combinations. Excellent with first courses, from the simplest to the most elaborate, and with meat-based second courses such as roasts, braised meats and stews.
