Food in Sicily presents the Arancello of Sicily of the Russo Distillery
Arancello is a very pleasant liqueur whose main ingredient is the splendid Sicilian oranges; of them only the peel rich in perfumes and aromas is used. The oranges are peeled by hand, taking care not to remove the white part which could give the product a slightly bitter taste.
Alcohol content: 30°
Capacity: 100ml – 500ml
Ingredients
Water, sugar, alcohol, infusion of Sicilian orange peels (1000 grams of oranges per litre), natural flavourings. Dyes: E102-E124.
FEATURES
The peels are then infused in pure alcohol, produced by the same company, for a period of eight to ten days. A syrup of water and sugar is then added to the infusion in order to obtain a very balanced 32° liqueur, with a fresh and inviting taste.
The Arancello di Sicilia is served chilled in small glasses also kept in the freezer and is excellent as a dessert; to enrich a fruit salad and as a digestive to be served at the end of a meal. Its particular aroma also makes it an indispensable ingredient in the preparation of refined drinks and cocktails.
The finished product has a yellow-green color. On the nose it has an intense orange scent. At the first taste it has a full, mellow taste; leaves a pleasant sensation of freshness and aromas in the mouth, the scents of splendid Sicily
