"Manfredi Barbera & Sons S.p.A." is today one of the most advanced oil companies in the international panorama, whose excellent products are obtained and bottled according to the highest quality and hygiene standards. Establishment and production are guaranteed by the most important international certification systems: ISO 9001, ISO22005:2007, BRC certificate (British Retail Consortium), IFS Certificate (International Food Standards).

The historic center is located on Emerico Amari Street in Palermo, to which, in 2003, a modern production plant in the sunny and charming Custonaci, in the province of Trapani, was added.

The latter has been developed and equipped with the most technologically advanced production systems, and is divided into three operating cores: the storage area, the experimental mill, the warehouse. The storage depot of the finished product is entirely thermoconditioned, it houses large silos at the controlled temperature of 18oC where the oil is kept under nitrogen against oxidation, and its storage capacity is approximately 7.000 quintals. Next to the storage area we find the packaging room: four fully automated lines, each reserved for the packaging of the oil in bottle, can and ceramic.

Even at this stage, the use of nitrogen is wave-like to ensure that the product is kept at the highest levels and is preserved optimally over time. The experimental mill, first of its kind worldwide, is housed in the second building: a completely revolutionary plant that makes experimentation its strength.

All the preparation phases of the olives- selection, cleaning and crushing- take place in an external area, so as to keep absolutely intact the inner space in which the grubbing takes place, the most delicate phase.
As regards the crushing phase, no other company in the world can boast well four different olive grinding systems: grinding with discs, hammers, opposite stone rolls and denouncing. Finally, the third building, where the temperature is automatically adjusted to 18th C for 365 days a year, is intended for storage of the finished product and packaging.
