A bit of history ...
Don Neli, the parent of the Rizza family, in the distant 1935, opened a daisy in the heart
of the city of Modica, thus initiating the history of its insertion in the book of the
confectionary traditions. Thanks to the son Peppino, passionate pioneer of machining
artisanal of the ice cream and chocolate of Modica, the Latteria Rizza became "rifles"
of taste and place of booster for exquisitance of author. Don Peppino conquered the scope
undisputed recognition of the architect of the variegate sorbetterìa and of the legendary
Chocolate Modicano. Its aromatics "tablets" were to be enjoyed in touch or in
smoked hot chocolate, which, in vaporant circles, spread that impalpable creativity
handed down from fathers to their children and still active after well four generations. So,
the Antica Dolceria Rizza, tapping into the secrets of the family chocolatier tradition,
has undertaken a fruitful and ingenious innovation, capable of protecting the genuineness of Modica chocolate and its peculiarities.
