Don Neli, founder of the Rizza family, in 1935, opened a dairy in his heart
of the city of Modica, thus starting the story of its inclusion in the golden book of
confectionery traditions. Thanks to his son Peppino, passionate pioneer of manufacturing
artisan ice cream and chocolate of Modica, Latteria Rizza became "forge"
taste and place of appeal for author's delicacies. Don Peppino conquered the area
recognition of the undisputed architect of the varied sorbetterìa and the legendary
Modican chocolate. His aromatic "tablets" were to be enjoyed in chunks or in chunks
steaming hot chocolates, which, in steaming circles, spread that impalpable creativity
handed down from fathers to children and still active after four generations. So,
the Antica Dolceria Rizza, drawing on the secrets of the family chocolate tradition,
has embarked on a fruitful and ingenious innovation, capable of protecting the authenticity of Modica chocolate and its peculiarities.
